Camerin Atkinson

Camerin Atkinson, then 6 years old, envisioned the Easthampton Big Rig Day way back in 2000.

Thanks to his grandfather, Jim Brown, and lots of help from family and friends, including his mother and father, Paul and Tina Atkinson, his sister Madison and his aunt and uncle, Todd and Lisa Vishaway, as well as all the many dedicated truckers and volunteers, it's now a reality!

Each year a convoy of trucks escorts a special kid to the Big Rig Day event. This Honorary Big Rig Day Chairman gets to ride in the first truck of the convoy and Easthampton's Mayor Mike Tautznik is on hand to present an official plaque. If you know of a deserving child who might benefit from this great experience, please let us know! Email Jim Brown.
