Camerin Atkinson, then 6 years old, envisioned the Easthampton Big Rig Day way back in 2000.

Thanks to his grandfather, Jim Brown, and lots of help from family and friends, including his mother and father, Paul and Tina Atkinson, his sister Madison and his aunt and uncle, Todd and Lisa Vishaway, as well as all the many dedicated truckers and volunteers, it 's now a reality!

Each year a convoy of trucks escorts a special kid to the Big Rig Day event. This Honorary Big Rig Day Chairman gets to ride in the first truck of the convoy and Easthampton's Mayor Mike Tautznik is on hand to present an official plaque. If you know of a deserving child who might benefit from this great experience, please let us know! Email Jim Brown.

The Easthampton Council on Aging and Enrichment Center gets in on the act with clowns, Toolie and Tootsie. The day wouldn't be complete without them!

Other regular participants include the Easthampton Police and Fire Departments and of course, Easthampton Bike who perform amazing jumps for the crowd every year!

Bill Williard of Bill Williard Inc. in Florence, wows the crowd with his gigantic dump truck. Owner of a busy gravel processing company Bill brings his awsome trucks to Big Rig Day whenever he can.
